Ken Daneyko's son is singing the National Anthem before the game. Wishing the kid the best and all the luck in the world, but if he happens to get Kreider-ed on his way out onto the ice and that gets the rangers juices flowing, I'm all for that too.

I can't remember, did Daneyko used to go straight to the penalty box for the National Anthem? Maybe they could let him go back for the special occasion?

He can't be worse than Alexa Ray Joel singing the anthem at the Islanders first opening night at the Barclays, so there's that.

Games at the Rock are like home games, if we can win there we just need to treat actual home contests the same as this game.

Late Sunday I had realized I forgot to check the score. I went from winning 10-5 to 8-7 in about 20 minutes. I was sweating as much as one would sweat watching a no-money fantasy hockey playoff game.

I've said this for a few years....ranger crowd needs energy from players, not the other way around (like mtl). It's the suits killing the average fan that give a damn. Need players that get the crowd ina frenzy ala Avery, Prust etc did. That's what ails the home record. Playoffs i think would be a little different, hopefully anyway

I just needed Minnesota to win that Winnepeg game in regulation and I would have pulled it out. Griess would have been tagged with another loss in the stat corrections combined with the win would have dropped you to only 6.

Well done. Good luck in the next round

been reading about the potential interest Raanta may garner this summer... do you trade him instead of potentially losing him for nothing or do you risk losing him for nothing to protect Grabner

look at what SJ gave up for Jones. Return would be somewhere between that and what NYR got for Talbot depending on who is paying the ransom

Yeah it was a tight one, about as exciting as a free league gets.

I'll take it to Kreider-boy TPC in your honor.

If you trade him there are three questions off the top of my head that you need to answer:
1) Who is your reliable backup next year, because they desperately need a reliable one
2) You will certainly lose Grabner then
3) Are you getting picks in return? If not, are you just getting a player in return that may need to be protected or exposed?

Yeah but look at what the Rangers got for Cam Talbot. Essentially nothing. No way the Rangers handle that situation correctly.

Could also just trade something to LV so that they don't take him. Not sure what that would cost. Otherwise, the Rangers would be wise to trade him away before the expansion draft.
